Helping People. Changing Lives.
PRVO Head Start/Early Head Start is an inclusionary placement for children with disabilities and special needs. By working together, teachers, local education agencies, community agencies, and parents facilitate and maximize the child’s full developmental, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones.
As an opportunity to support both children and families with disabilities, PRVO provides each child and their family with an equal and non-discriminatory opportunity through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This Act offers children with disabilities a free and appropriate public education, evaluation, and placement in the least restrictive environment for learning, as well as protection of their disability rights.
PRVO, Inc. Head Start/ Early Head Start provides services for children with disabilities in Early Childhood, including the following categories:
Mental Health:
Local community mental health professionals provide mental health services to children, parents, and staff. Mental Health trainings occur throughout the year for teachers, and parenting and behavior seminars are offered throughout the year for parents.
